Epoxy bases

  • Water-based epoxy: This type of epoxy is water-soluble and does not contain solvents. It is the most environmentally friendly, but this finish will not last as long as other types of epoxy.
  • Solvent-based epoxy: This epoxy contains solvents and is the oldest form of epoxy. The solvents evaporate during the drying process, which results in a much harder finish compared to that of a water-based epoxy. Since this type of epoxy contains solvents, it can often be very smelly and is not recommended for poorly ventilated areas.
  • 100% solid epoxy: This low-odour epoxy is our favourite and is the one we use in all our projects. It produces surfaces that, when cured, are stain-resistant and incredibly hard.
